Methodological - didactic notes

• A work rug to lay out the entire set of cards

Presentation of the exercise

1. The teacher places the green one tile at the top right of the work carpet.
2. Below that he/she arranges all the other green ones numbers up to 9. To the left of them he arranges all the tens tiles.
3. Continuing to sort to the left, the teacher places all the hundreds and thousands tiles.
4. Now the teacher takes the green 1, the blue 10, the red 100 and the green 1000 and places them in front of the child.
5. He/she points to each one in turn and names them, giving the child time to read the number themselves.

This is followed by the 3-step lesson

• Lesson 1:

  Compare number cards with each other
